I was commissioned by the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board’s Environmental Education department to design illustrations of Minnesota native wildlife species in yoga poses on stand up paddle boards. I chose to use otters as opposed to species of fish or birds for their ability to pose their bodies. These illustrations will be printed onto vinyl decals and applied to buoys in Spring of 2021. Standup paddle boards are available to rent at the Minneapolis Chain of Lakes where paddle boarders will be able to paddle up to these buoys and try out the poses.
